Sorry to see the tire got “busted”! Thankfully you are safe and sound. It’s a reminder that a safe and smooth journey can not be taken for granted ( that’s what I’d tell myself-haha!). Last but not least, your stunning photos are absolutely jaw-dropping. The scenery can not be painted even more beautiful….! Be safe and enjoy the journey.
Also meant to say that your flat tire experience made my heart stop. Friends had serious undercarriage damage from a flat. So glad you avoided injury to humans and Walter! Be safe!!
Yes! I was super worried. We actually got the flat while leaving a gas station! We pulled into a nearby parking lot (off of Lisa Street, funny coincidence!) and pumped it up with the onboard air compressor. I was so worried! Luckily the Walmart wasn't far from there! All the tire places were closed since it was a Sunday.
Lisa, your photos and narrative outshine anything I remember of Arizona Highways. The sunset photos take my breath away. I envy the solitude and peace you and J must experience by disperse camping and being present, engaging all your senses. You are some lucky!!! Thank you, always for sharing!!
Hi Peggy! That is a high compliment! I grew up reading Arizona Highways! The peace and solitude really help to soothe my soul with everything going on in the world right now. Hope to spread that feeling along!
So fabulous (except for the flat tire). I'm behind again, but I actually just saw your tire post in IG, so I feel like it was the right time to read this post (unless that was another tire issue, which would really stink). Take care and thank you so much for sharing these gorgeous images and wonderful places!

Thanks so much, Virginia! There is so much beauty out here! I didn't try to paint it yet!

You're definitely sharing that feeling, and for that I'm grateful.

Thanks so much, Alyson! Nature is just so amazing. And I feel so lucky to be able to be out in it and share the beauty here.
