I can almost smell those wonderful conifers!!! So fabulous!
I think your two trees along the river on the Jemez River Trail should be Romeo and Juliet! She's up on the balcony and he's professing his love!
I wasn't expecting Bandelier to look like your pictures! When my hubby and I were in the area doing our four corners road trip we ended both getting a very nasty stomach bug the night before we were going to head to Bandelier so we had to bi-pass it and headed into Los Alamos to recuperate instead. All of the pictures we'd seen of Bandelier were of the very porous white cliffs dotted with caves. I love the wonderful scenes you shared from your hikes there!!!
FYI, our trip in the area was in the late 80's so we relied on books for most of the information about areas we could visit and we were just wanting to visit as many Ancestral Puebloan sites as possible so we didn't do any kind of deep dive into what to expect from the landscape.
Another great time traveling with you and J through your blog!
Thanks for joining us on the journey! ❤️
So beautiful. I miss it.
That was quite a week! Beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing.

Happy trails on your way to Big Bend NP!
