So many beautiful photos from your hike! We didn't do much hiking in JOTR because my hubby had an issue with his leg that caused him to have pain if we walked too much so we'd hike as far as he could tolerate and then rest before heading back to the trailhead. We definitely need to go back there when we can explore more!
The Cholla Garden is one of my favorite spots. We were driving through at golden hour and the way those needles were glowing was glorious! I was also amused (kind of) by the first aid kit. Those cholla look super soft, but we did not test to see if they were really as sharp as they were supposed to be.
(I see now that you had some fabulous glowing cholla, too, although your picture of your dispersed site at Kofa was also absolutely stunning!)
Thanks again for all that you share! Remembering the joy we felt when we were in the area five years ago is really helping to make the dreary day we're having feel less heavy!
Wowee! Those backlit cholla at sunset made me smile. What beauties. You and J are making the most of being present and engaging all your senses. Keep it up, and keep sharing with us!!!!
Hi Lisa. Try to see the native palms while at KOFA. Enjoy. Kathy
We did see them! Woo hoo! See my next post for photos :)
The photos are amazing! So fun to see! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much, Joanne! It was a pretty spectacular week!
Just so beautiful! And you are collecting quite a treasure-trove of photographs to paint from too! Happy travels!
