Your Week is a good read I look forward to every 7 days. Thank you for your sacrifice of time and mental energy to share so generously. The joys as well as the bummers! I absolutely love your hiking sketch pages! They inspire me. I’m trying to find the post where you listed the current colors in your Demi palette. Help? Happy travel-living to you and Jason and your faithful

Walter.

Hi Margaret! Thanks so much for your comment -- it made my day! It really is a labor of love to write these posts up -- but I love having them so we can look back and see where we've been!

The colors in the palette in this post are: Hansa Yellow Medium, Permanent Red, Red Rose Deep, Cerulean Blue Hue, Ultramarine Blue, Sap Green, Burnt Sienna, and Payne’s Gray -- I'm always tinkering around!

Usually I have either Hansa yellow medium or azo yellow, transparent red oxide, some form of phthalo blue, ultramarine blue, quinacridone rose or magenta and phthalo green, sap green, or chromium oxide green! Hope that helps!

And Walter says HI!

Thanks for sharing the post and the great photos. I'm also nervous about the future of our public lands. Also, I can't wait to try out the peak finder app. I wish everyone understood what a vast legacy they share in our public lands.

Hi Tim! Me too! So much is misunderstood about public lands -- we have this amazing resource and not many people know about it beyond National Parks. Hopefully enough people will get involved to save them. And yay for the peak finder app -- you'll love it!

Welcome back to Texas. Are you planning to pass through Austin? On Tuesday Eve and I got back from a 19-day, 4039-mile trip to Florida.

Hi, Steve! Hi, Eve! That's a really long trip!! WOW! I don't think we're going to make it to Austin this time but will keep you posted! We're still figuring out where to go next -- we want to head for cooler temps!

Lisa, thank you again for taking me on your wonderful trip/ life with you and I didn’t know about the peak finder app, also! Great for the alps, too!

We just cancelled a New York trip where I had booked a workshop with Samantha Dion Baker but we just felt unsafe & uncertain. So after traveling to the States for 50 years and living in the states for 7 years there won’t be any further travels until things have changed. Missing my second home and my friends… that’s why appreciate your stories even more!

So sad about your clothes, what a mess!!

This is Angie from Berlin 🤗

I don’t blame you, I’ve heard so many stories, so sad you didn’t get to go though. A workshop with Samantha would be amazing! The peak finder app is so cool!

Lisa, what a whirlwind week. So glad it ended on a high note. We know from our road trips that you roll with the punches/breakdowns, be grateful you have your home on wheels and stay flexible. You and J have got this!!! Your photo of Fairyland in the Big Room at Carlsbad Cavern made me laugh out loud. We visited there this time last year and spent two days on sensory overload. Fairyland was my favorite of all the features, all guarded by the towering bearded gnome in the background. Thank you also for the information about what we lowly humans can do to object to current directives to trash Mother Earth. Safe travels!!!

Thanks, Peggy! We keep going where y’all have been! And thanks on the clothes! It’s so hard because so many things aren’t made anymore— don’t know how I’m going to find replacements on the road! But we’ll make it! ❤️

Thank you for the info at the end of your post on 5 Calls. It's wearing me out mentally, all the protests, all the news, but I'm trying to stay on top of everything that needs my attention. We must keep strong !
